The Minnesota Reading Association (MRA) is bringing authors and students together through its BookBreak Author Talk Series! This opportunity gives Minnesota students in elementary through high school the chance to connect with acclaimed children's and young adult authors, explore their favorite books, and gain insight into the writing and creative process.
Designed to inspire a love of reading and writing, these interactive virtual sessions allow students to hear directly from the authors behind the stories they enjoy. Each talk lasts approximately 15–30 minutes, making it easy for educators and librarians to incorporate the experience into their school day.
Can't attend a live session? Recordings are available for 30 days following the event, giving schools additional flexibility to participate. Educators can also take advantage of resources and activities to help extend the learning experience beyond the author talk.
